Building surveying – Northamptonshire
Our Building Surveying team was appointed to handle a dilapidations claim on Giffard House (located in Pyramid Close, Northampton), a 12,000 sq ft two office building, which was occupied on a full repairing basis.
Our client was looking to renew its lease, however, was served notice by the Landlord. A substantial dilapidations claim was received, detailing replacement of the air conditioning and also demolishing substantial alternations, including an external structure.
Through a careful analysis of the claim and a deep understanding of dilapidations, our Building Surveying team put forward various arguments, to substantially reduce the claim and to obtain a much-reduced settlement for our client.
